Magic Beats Festival in Legendia is an event where music and magic meet. Our job was to amplify that experience with advanced special effects – to create an immersive experience in which light, fire and smoke become part of the musical story.
How we created an unforgettable atmosphere
The key was a carefully prepared script that combined all the effects into one coherent, dynamic whole. We started by analysing the line-up and the musical character of the festival so that every visual element worked with the sound. Working with the organisers and lighting directors, we planned the key moments: subtle smoke effects laid the ground for powerful hits of lasers and fire.
Laser technology – the heart of the visual show
We used high-power projectors that created complex shapes, tunnels and sheets of light above the audience. Every beam, movement and colour change was either programmed or operated live by our operators, who reacted to the dynamics of the DJ sets – emphasising the beats, drops and melodic lines.
Flame jets and cold sparks
The leading role was played by professional Magic FX flame jets, producing balls of fire several metres high, timed to the strongest parts of the tracks. They were complemented by cold spark fountains – glittering cascades that are safe close to the artists. All with strict adherence to safety standards and constant supervision of the equipment.
Smoke and CO2 effects – a dynamic backdrop for the artists
- CO2 jets / Magic FX SmokeJet – fast columns of white smoke emphasising the drops,
- low fog – a dense layer of fog on the stage floor,
- haze – a fine mist in the air that makes the laser beams visible.
Behind the scenes
The production required precise planning, logistics, cooperation with the lighting, rigging and sound crews and several days of work on site. Our team of technicians and operators took care of safe installation, calibration of the systems and flawless operation throughout the event. Set-up and take-down went smoothly, and the show ran without a hitch.

Are flame jets safe at a festival? Yes, when operated by a professional, certified company: certified equipment, safety zones and strict procedures.
How are lasers synchronised with music? The show can be programmed to a track with timecode or operated live, reacting to the music the DJ is playing.
Are cold sparks really cold? The name is relative. They are made from a special titanium granulate and reach a much lower temperature (about 60°C) than traditional pyrotechnics, which is why they are safe indoors and close to people.
How long does set-up take? Anywhere from a few hours to several days of work for the team – depending on the scale of the event.
